this time of year is always bitter sweet for me. As much as I look forward to the break and time spent with family, I am already jonesin’ to pick my camera up and infuse some creative ideas into another shoot! but I breathe, update, reflect, get healthy, plan, learn that thing I’ve been meaning to google. With wedding season being over for another year it forces me to stop and put new gas in my creative tank. This year has been the most amazing yet! I have some of my original couples growing their families, having babies, telling their friends and loved ones about me. This business is very ‘word of mouth’ based so you have no idea how much I appreciate you passing your experiences with me along. I am just beyond lucky. I am growing as a person, a photographer, a business person, a mother and wife. I am finding my place, I am pushing my envelope and all of you have allowed and helped me to do that. To take it to the next level and stay true to myself along the way. Thank you just doesnt seem like big enough words for all that I feel, but I will say it anyways. Thank you for believing in me, and choosing me to be there, when I know there are so many to choose from. Thank you for 2014 and i am so excited for the new year and all the unexpected adventures of the future! Much love and happiness to you all xxoo Kelly
I thought it might be fun to post a few shots that happen behind the scenes. I laughed out loud at a few of them. It’s funny, Vanessa and i sometimes take a selfie in the car before heading to a wedding as proof of how clean and pulled together we actually can look before you see us. It literally takes 5 minutes into a shoot to get dirty, untucked, catch hair on a tree branch, walk into puddle or cement ( see pic below) before it all unravels. I am so lucky to have had Vanessa, Sarah and Jen helping this year! They are 3 amazing women who I consider friends full of various talents! I love how fun, daring and adventurous my clients can be as well. Thanks for trusting and smiling even though you may not be sure that standing over water on a tree root in your wedding dress is the best idea !! Some of the pics are from iphones so apologies for the quality.
